Overview
Configure pay plans in STAKT using products, rates, and overrides. This allows you to manage sales commissions effectively.
Enter Products
Define products (or installers) with associated costs. Product costs can be per unit, a fixed amount per deal, or a percentage of deal revenue. For example, you can set a cost of $5 per unit sold, a $100 fixed bonus, or 5% of deal revenue. These costs can also vary by date and region (currently US states only).
Set payment schedules for products to include upfront, progress, and final payments. These payments can be defined per unit, as a percentage, or as a fixed maximum amount. For example, you might pay $2 per unit upfront, 10% of the deal value upon progress milestones, and a maximum of $500 as a final payment.
Set Rates
Rates determine the base commission structure for your sales team, independent of product costs. You can set different rate structures based on various factors such as role, experience, or performance tiers.
You can adjust rates for specific regions (currently US states only) to account for regional market differences or cost of living variations. For example, you might offer a higher base commission rate in regions with higher living expenses.
Configure Overrides
Create overrides to adjust payouts based on specific conditions related to project performance or sales volume over time.
Conditions can be based on project metrics like price per unit, total sales price, revenue targets, or units sold. You can also set conditions based on time-based metrics such as yearly or all-time deal counts.
When setting up overrides, you can choose whether to include or exclude canceled projects in the calculations and whether to apply them retroactively to past deals. Overrides affect the commission calculation by modifying the effective sales amount used to determine commissions.
Manage Deductions and Company Financials
Define deductions that affect salesperson commissions. Deductions can be per unit, fixed, or percentage-based, with optional maximum limits. For instance, you could deduct a fixed $10 charge per unit, a flat $50 fee, or 2% of the sales price, up to a maximum of $200.
The "company stacked" section displays project financials, similar to a profit and loss statement. This section allows you to track per-unit costs, fixed expenses, or percentage-based expenses related to each deal, with optional maximums. Similar to product settings, you can also configure upfront and progress payments for overrides with per-unit, percentage, or maximum amounts.
